The forum is being held to review present structures and to discuss options to ensure the future viability and vitality of local AFL competitions.

Senior and junior clubs and interested community members are invited to make submissions and attend the forum discussion.

Possible discussion points include recent changes to Lower South West Football League (LSWFL) structure, the amalgamation of senior and junior clubs, the development of partnerships to promote growth of the game, umpiring development and the zone agreement with East Perth.

Participants may also discuss the combined South West Football League (SWFL)/LSWFL colts team in the WA Football League (WAFL), the combined SWFL/LSWFL junior development squads, the AFL and WA Football Commission support to the region, the fairness and evenness of regional junior competitions and the development of healthy club drug, alcohol and road safety policies. Also to be discussed are the coach and club administration development, the combined SWFL/LSWFL executive officer funded by WAFC, facilities development and league headquarters development.
