Auskick
SOME of Donnybrook’s youngest football players had a chance to show off their skills to a very appreciative crowd over the weekend.
During the half time break of the league game between Donnybrook and Collie, members of the Auskick program formed two teams and took to the field to entertain the crowd.
By the look of some of the kicking talent on display the Don’s may have some outstanding new recruits in the future.
There were plenty of attempts at goal, even if some of the kicking was a little wobbly.
The match was umpired by Auskick coordinator Michael Beeson and several parents were onhand to guide the young players around the mini-oval.
No official score was kept, since it was an exhibition match.
After the game the players headed back into the club rooms for a well-earned sausage in a bun and a drink.
Auskick is held at the Donnybrook Oval every Saturday morning.
